PCB Assembly Services

With over 35 years of experience, PCB Power offers PCB assembly services for a wide range of applications — supporting Surface Mount Technology (SMT), Through-Hole Technology (THT), and mixed technology assembly requirements. Assembly services are available for prototype quantities and production volumes, with turnkey, consigned, and combo assembly options to suit varying project needs. All assembly is supported by IPC, ISO, ITAR, and RoHS certified processes, ensuring consistent quality and compliance across every project.

What assembly variants are supported?

SMT, THT, mixed technology, and single/double-sided placement are all supported across prototype and production requirements.

What solder paste types are available?

Leaded and lead-free (RoHS compliant) solder paste options are available depending on project and compliance requirements.

What component types and sizes are supported?

assive components as small as 01005, BGA, and fine pitch parts are supported. Maximum component size is 56 x 56 x 15 mm. Minimum BGA pad size is 0.20 mm.

What are the BGA and QFN clearance requirements?

Clearance greater than 0.17 mm is standard. Clearance between 0.15 mm and 0.17 mm requires a dam. Clearance below 0.15 mm is not feasible.

What is the minimum order quantity?

There is no minimum order quantity — assembly services are available for single prototype boards through to full production runs.

What component package formats are accepted?

Reels, cut tape, tube and tray, and loose parts are all accepted component package formats.

What PCB materials are supported?

FR4, Rogers, and MCPCB materials are supported. Flexible PCBs are subject to availability.

What quality inspection methods are used?

Visual examination, X-ray inspection, and automated optical inspection (AOI) are applied across assembly projects.

What file formats are accepted?

BOM files (.xls, .csv, .xlsx), Gerber (RS-274X), and centroid files are accepted for PCB assembly orders.

Frequently asked questions

Here are some common questions about our company.

PCB assembly is the process of placing and soldering electronic components onto a fabricated printed circuit board. It includes SMT, THT, and mixed technology assembly methods depending on the design requirements.

PCB assembly services are supported by IPC, ISO 9001:2015, ITAR, RoHS, UL, and DLA DD2345 certified processes — ensuring compliance across commercial, industrial, and defense applications.

Surface Mount Technology (SMT) involves placing components directly onto the surface of the PCB. Through-Hole Technology (THT) involves inserting component leads through drilled holes in the board. Mixed technology assembly uses both methods on the same board.

Turnkey PCB assembly is a complete service covering component sourcing, fabrication, and assembly through a single coordinated workflow. Consigned assembly involves the customer supplying components, while combo assembly combines both approaches.

Yes. PCB assembly services are available for single prototype boards with no minimum order quantity, through to full production volumes.
